Michigan CPL Classes

This is NOT your average CPL class! At Low Ready Arms, we pride ourselves on far exceeding the standards set by the State of Michigan. We guarantee that you will leave this class with a heightened sense of confidence and empowerment. Our small class sizes enable us to provide ample one on one instruction for every student to ensure they are competent in basic defensive fundamentals. This course consists of 5 hours of classroom instruction, a legal brief, and 3 hours of range time.

Carbine 1 & 2

These courses are both a 4-hour block of instruction.

Carbine 1: This course is designed to teach the student how to properly operate their rifle/carbine in a defensive manner.

Carbine 2: This course will leave the student prepared to use their rifle/carbine for defense within a close-quarters environment. (Must complete Carbine 1 prior to registration)

Defensive pistol course

These courses are designed for beginner and intermediate shooters who already possess a CPL.

Defensive Pistol 1: This course is designed to teach the student various fundamentals on how to properly operate their handgun with a focus on accuracy and proper technique. (Must have a valid CPL prior to registration)

Defensive Pistol 2: This course is designed to teach the student how to properly operate their handgun in a defensive manner with a focus on balancing speed and accuracy. (Must complete DP1 prior to registration)

However, with the right training, you can get a vote in how a violent encounter unfolds and potentially avoid it entirely. For nearly 3 years, Low Ready Arms’ training has been a vital part of the West Michigan Lakeshore Association of Realtors’ new member orientation.
