This course is designed for those who are interested in learning the basic rifle operations in order to excel in further training. During this 6-hour block of instruction, students will train on the following techniques:
Location: Holton Gun & Bow Club: 6201 E Crystal Lake Rd, Holton, MI 49425
Start Time: 8:00AM
End Time: Approximately 2:00PM
Carbine Level 1 (Mixed format of classroom and range):
Safety
Stances (Prone, Kneeling Standing)
Fundamentals of Marksmanship
Grip (Push Pull)
Breathing
Trigger Press
Zero (30 rounds)
Height Over Bore
Malfunctions
Dot Drill (30 rounds at 25, 50, and 100 yards)
Required Items:
Carbine/AK Platform Firearm
150 Rounds of Factory Ammunition (Minimum)
2 Magazines
Weapon Sling (No Single Point Slings)
Ear and Eye Protection
Gloves and Knee Pads (Optional)
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 72 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 72 hours before the class may be rescheduled but not refunded. Scheduling is dependent upon availability.
